sub frame rattle?

so on my s14 i have a rattle that after jacking up the back of my car and listening while the wheels are turning sounds like its coming from the rear sub frame bushing on one side. has anyone ran in the same problem? if so will those sub frame spacers help with that rattle or am i stuck having to replace the whole bushing??

You could get a clunk from broken subframe bushings, but I had a rattle in my s14 that wasn't those. There are the dampener boxes towards the very front arms of the subframe. They are little metal blocks held in place by rubber arms and when one of the arms breaks, you get a lot of rattling. Make sure its not those because they are easily removeable.

For the subframe, collars are a bandaid. I replaced the bushings with z32 subframe bushings from energy and I like them a lot. Of course, swapping out bushings is a lot more than just adding the spacers.

Send a message via AIM to pbcstylez
than get solid subframe collars to fill in the worn out bushings
