not many people can make lightning fast decisions and think about others in that dire moment, congrats on your experience as a driver.
honestly i think the guy that pulled out had bad judgment about what speed you were going, unless he/she didnt see you at all. gl with the next project

I just read everything man! I'm soo sorry you had to go through all that SH1T! When I saw the picture of the car after the accident and saw the driver door going inward towards the cabin that far, not to mention the mangled mess that was a S14, I got goose bumps. I hope you and your new car both are as close to 100% as you both can get soon! Dang that S14 was soo hot too! I miss my 97 Kouki as well... only I was just stupid and sold it, I regret it every day. I'll get another one soon though, the key is to think possitive! Take it easy!

I'm sorry to see anyone lose a car that they really love. It's great to hear that those involved were not killed and were or are able to make recoveries. As for racing down any public road, all the op has to do is keep pictures of the aftermath to his last pride and joy around. That will undoubdtable be enough to prevent this from happening again.
Good luck with be safe in the future. |

Phuck me sideways!!! You're like those surfers that get their legs bitten in half by a shark...get stitched up, buy a new board, and are back surfing in no time...haha. Props to you sir.

Man that shit is gonna hurt even more when you get old. I'm an x-ray tech so i've seen some bad ones. Looks like they did a pretty good job putting you back together. Here's a pic that will make the pain go away. Just take a guess where this thing is.
8 year old having trouble urinating. Yes that's a bobby pin. Docs found a straw from a broom peeking out the tip. We took x-rays and found this! Kid was MR/DD so it was pretty sad actually. Not really sure if he did it to himself or not. I hope nobody in their right mind is that sick to do it to him. |

Thats quite the story, and while I applaud your bravery and sacrifice, I hope this comes as a lesson to everyone that shit can happen anywhere at anytime regardless of how careful we are or how safe we believe we are being. I can't say that i'm a perfect law abiding citizen as i'm sure we all have the urge to slam that pedal down now and again. I believe you were being as safe and careful as possible, it just sucks that you were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Anyways glad to see this experience hasn't affected your motivation, and good luck with your new build it looks great so far! |
