yeah ive been driving it for a few days and its still got a crazy whine to it. sounds like its coming from the transmission. the fluids should be ok, thought i think my trans fluid is weird. it should be red and oily right? its kinda brownish red and clear.

Is it an auto? Because if it is a manual it should be brownish clear, red and thin is for autos.

Yeah the fluid might just be old, but it generally should be a burnt red. I would change it out anyways because it should not be the color you stated. Anyways as for the noise it is hard to tell, due to it being a video but it sounded like back of the engine to me as well.
