help pls.. left turn signal always on
i've got a 1990 240sx bone stock. The left turn signal is always on (lit on & doesnt flash) when the park light or head light is on. i figured i check the light bulbs if any of them where burn out but none were. then i check the turn signal switch. it was perfectly ok and i even got a spare switch and tried it out that wasnt the problem. ok the left turn signal is always on when it is on the park light and headlight. when the lights are off you can actually use the turn signal correctly. i was wonderin has anyone encounter this problem. and if so how'd you fix it. im thinkin short to power on something but wat? switch isnt failing wires seems fine. does it have to do with combination flashers? or something else? also more info that u can see the right turn signal light on a bit wen you signal left without the headlights on.

Is it the correct bulb? An 1156 single filament would see voltage through both circuits, and will always light up from either circuit. You should have an 1157 dual filament bulb.

the tail lights are fine. no light is seeping. its completely on (the left turn signal) when its its parking light or headlight. a little more update on my situation. while driving at night the headlight was on so of course the the left turn signal light is on, but suddenly it stop and i signal left it was flashing really fast and then stayed lit again the same as before. not flashing as in if ther was a burnt bulb i know how that is but this was fast. any comments on this. combination flasher maybe broken?

i was having the same prob for a long time but when i crashed my front bumper it broke the plug connecting the turn signal harness exposing the connections from the three wires for the signal bulb so i pluged in the black and the green wires leaving one wire unplugged and it took care of the problem. this worked for me n maybe for you good luck

i had a similar problem, the pigtail?- from the turn signal that connects the the car, (im talking about the pigtail that sticks like 8-10 inches from the turn signal itself) was loose. i jiggled it and its been working. Hope that helps.
