Cam choices

Okay so let's start with what I got
RedTop SR stock motor(head studs, rocker stoppers, head gasket)
Tomei exhaust mani
Gt2871r .86
750cc
All with an Enthaply tune

That's all the major info is think you would need but I plan to go through the the head and adding springs and cams. The issue is cams, I know I want to go with JWT but what is the set for my set up as the car is not a daily more of a weekend, late night meet, track car. Any experienced help would be great, dyno sheets of before and after cams and drivability.

If the head is stock, you can use the small peanut cams (like S3, or any 256 grind off the shelf with stock lift) with great success and solid idle character.

If you want a lope (pointless waste of fuel with that turbo, but fun to listen) you need a bigger grind and upgraded valve springs.

Personally, I favor the OEM valve spring (for longevity and reduced wear) with an S3 cam, for stock idle and good performance. I would NOT run rocker stoppers. Keep the fuel-cut rev limiter set to 6600~ for best reliability.

On the other extreme side of things, the bigger cam, the upgraded spring, the higher RPM limit, the reduced fuel economy side of things, I might suggest an HKS 264 grind with a good spring like comp cams (or a matching set of HKS springs perhaps), still without rocker stoppers, and then the RPM limitation depends on where that turbo will run out of compressor. Honestly thats a tiny turbo to be using on a non-daily driver, and your larger exhaust area-radius is working against you in some ways with that tiny T25 hole. It would be a bit mis-matched using these items with that turbo is what I am trying to say, but your post indicates that this is the kind of vehicle you want it to be. The only reason I do not suggest going larger on the turbo is because you have an OEM piston, and the OEM piston limit for reliable engines is right around 370bhp, give or take, which is what that turbo will provide easily.

I've been running S4 cams on stock springs and retainers for about 5 years now with no problems as they are designed to work on stock valvetrain. Throw the stoppers in the garbage.

As far as S3's vs. S4's, it's really up to your personal preference. I wanted the aggressive idle and top end power band that pulls all the way to the limiter.

Right around 380 whp is really my limit I'm going for being as stock bottom end I was looking Into cams for the simple fact I'm hoping to make that power from that turbo with out having to push it out of or even just max out its compressor range

like I said, the S3 and stock spring would do that just fine. Anything larger is just for fun (noise)

S3's or S4's for sure. Do yourself a favor and swap that turbine housing to a .64.
