Advice and delima (LSD)
ok i just bought a s13 that supposedly has a tomei 2 way in it i wanna open it up to see if its true cause im getting weird sounds from it at low speed turns and turns from a full stop you can here it pop inside the car i know it supposed to do this but the sound outside the car sounds like bad axles in the rear.
Anyways i searched for what kinda fluid i should put back in and couldnt or didnt see a concrete answer and also can i use gm friction modifier i need to know before i open it up. |

Sounds like the diff is working perfectly... clutch type LSD's are raucous pieces of equipment...the snapping and banging is normal/expected.
In regard to fluid, use what Tomei recommends, but that doesn't mean you need to run Tomei brnad oil, just the viscosity equivilent...and hen add some Spicer Friction Modifier (or OEM Ford Friction Modifier, which is like 6 bucks, super cheap).
