95 tranny in 96, OBD problem.

I have a 95 manual transmission in 96 with 96 manual ECU and it is throwing me a CEL light.
I only hooked up speed sensor so I do not know if the light is caused by other stuff or lack of OBD II stuff.
Has anyone used OBD I transmission in a OBD II car?
Is there anything I can do to trick the computer?
95 ECU maybe?
I live in VA and I just need to pass the emission.
Thanks.

Transmission and wiring is identical for all S14s. Plug in the CPS and neutral switches, they're both required to keep the CEL off, has nothing to with OBD-II.

Yes it will. My old 95 and three other 95s I've parted all had it.

So the CEL light should go off once I connect the neutral safety, crank position, and 5th gear sensor?

It's part of the lower harness, 3pin plug, pink, blue, and gray IIRC.

Correct. Drill a hole and stick it in the bellhousing then.
