it always brings a tear to my eyes when i see a 240sx or even a datsun Z in the junkyard, but then i strip it of everything i need and i feel a little bit better... i just think that 240SX's become a lil bit "rarer" each day

Thats why we drive 240s. Duh.

Some of the things done to cars in the junk yard I cannot wrap my mind around, like an older Kia I saw at Pick n Pull that had the whole interior, engine, trans, and windows laying loosely inside the car, like somebody was actually considering restoring a Kia.

found a clean ass black dash a few weeks baq @ the pyrite junkyard. i didnt have the tools so i went home and grab them, i went baq EARLY in the morning, i mean before they even opened, went to check out the same 240, and i guess someone tried to take the dash but horrifically failed, so what does he do? He rips them, as if he was trying to force it off the car, then CARVE accross it with a flat head real deep, ruining a PERFECT DASH that i couldve used.

i swear, fawkin tools and noobs... i say leave it alone and let another 240 owner take care of it... but then agian this is earth, and theres always douchebags and assholes.

I had many incidents like that too. some people can not handle a tool properly

I have had many incidents where I go in one day and see a perfectly good 240...
Come back the next day with tools ready and the parts that I needed are broken and stuffed in the backseat or trunk of the car. They were probably thinking "If I can't have it, then nobody else can."

One incident happened at my local pick a part. I found a 240, looked kinda beat so i blew past it. Then something caught my eyes. As I was taking a quick peek inside the car, I saw a cracked silvia corner light. I walk up to the front to find a beat to hell silvia front end. I'm sure that the car didnt come in like that because I found the triple projectors smashed and in the trunk. The fenders look like it was hit with another piece of metal and the bumper was stepped on and cracked. That pissed me off, but what can I do, there's a bunch of dumbasses in this world.

Another time, I found a perfectly good dash in the yard one day and I was fortunate enough to have all my tools and enough money to purchase it. While I was taking it off a bunch of guys were staring me down. I took each part off slowly and put it in the back so if anybody needed that part it would be available. I went back a few days later since I needed some screws that i misplaced on my car, only to find that the parts I took off were all over the floor and completely trashed. Somebody must have hated 240's or they just like to destroy things.

Well enough of my rants.
I wonder how the interior of that limo 240 looks like...lol

Everyone I find seems to be the result of a night gone bad.

What really pisses me off is the "Junkyard Professionals" That strip cars for parts as a business in pull a part places. They rip door panels off to get to window and door lock motors. Break everything around a part to get it off in 30sec instead of a minute.

like i said, its going to be crushed in days/weeks, theres no point. stuff has no value until someone actually needs it. i've thrown away TONS OF STUFF that ive tried selling with no luck, because people didnt want to pay for the parts. then i go to toss it away and people complain about needing something.. but dont want to pay for it.

its pointless. i feel better throwing things away than giving it away because people dont understand the value in parts, they feel they are entitled to things for free.

I've tried selling parts for $5-10 and when I cant sell I toss em.
Then people bitch at me for not giving it to them since they needed it.

honestly i dont feel like taking 30-35 minutes taking something apart that really should only take 5-10 mins...especially in CA summer weather...F that...if the parts are clean ill 8/10 take em off properly and set them aside, if there already worn or not clean, F it...its a junkyard car...early worm catches the worm scenario
