KA24de shakes

I just bought this car 2 days ago, car is a 93 auto. today when i started it, the engine light came on and it shakes pretty hard while in drive. While in park and in neutral its fine. The car idles fine, just shakes and feels like its gona die. I pulled out the plug wires and the ends were moist with what smelled like coolant? the ends were also crusty and rust colored. I just moved here from hawaii and i dont have any of my tools with me. Im gonna go buy some new tools so i can check the plugs and such. but anyone have any ideas?

KA

sounds like water in the plug holes that has been there awhile, used compressed air to dry out plug holes and wires if your are gonna keep the wires. If your plugs are rusty replace em, replace wires too they are probably old any how

the plug wires or the plug? if its the plug wires.. just slip the connection off the rubber and dry it with a towel or air... pull ur spark plugs and look at them what color black, white ? check ur maf and make sure its plugged in and working.. if engine is having problems under load... you might have some other issues... be a little more descriptive... might want to do a quick tune up.. and check the oil. what color is it? typical or milky? coolant also do u have brown stuff floating in it?

I just bought my 90 auto. 240sx and it did the same thing. After a couple of days we figured out the problem. The owner before had switch the spark plug wires around, plus the shaking part was due to bad injectors and the wire that connected from the wire harness to the injector(don't know what those are called), but the shaking was from the injector connectors because when I twitch the wires a little it will run perfect, but if I push down on them the car will shake a lot and sound like it will shut down instantly. Oh k the real problem was 2 bad injectors...take your injectors out and look at them you may have some cracked and some burned out!
