I just need to vent this out

Boycott Fast and Furious 3

This is going to f*ck up the sport of drifting and bring more dumb ass kids to get sideway and kill themselves and other people

. I can just see all the 240 that are going to be f*cked up. Cops are going to be all over our asses when this movie comes out.

With a passion I hate anything and everything about Fast and furious

. I hope someone finds where they keep all the movie cars and stripps them all out

. I hope the movie set catches on fire

.

I hope no one goes to pay and see this movie (ff3). I hope that when it does come out everyone downloads the movie for free or find someone that can copy the movie for you

hey, i agree with you 100% but its pretty cool to see what they do to tha cars.... but yeah they kill the scene and ruin it for the true racers, who know what they are doin...

yea...its already hard to find parts in a yard....this movie will make it even worse!!!! ...maybe. more dumb kids will wreck..thus junking their cars....allowing me to rape and pillage their car....hhmmmm.....(yea im money hungry). but yea....it will make our cars targets where they were not targets before im sure (other states besides CA). then it will cause me to be bombarded with more rice questions!!!!!! im already tired of that shit!!!!

the new movie is called tokyo drift and thats why were bitching. not to mention lil bow wow is the star of it, but maybe there is going to be some good from it. like maybe ill get a drift track closer to home

Most people who watches those movie and then jump bandwagon cannot afford a car + insurance + gas anyways. so who cares. Since FF1 came out, I do not see tons of people going to drag strip, only the poser, hard parking crowd grew.

If you want to do something, you have to stop super street, sport compact car, and all those tuners magazine as well.

Anywho, the scene have brought over a bunch of new products for us 240sx owner. A few years back, there was no version select, all FMIC cost 800+, sr wat? that was rare.. Greddy release their turbo kit finally after how long?, AEM release EMS for us, people discover bikirom, megasquirt, greddy emanage. TONS of base maps and people trying new stuff compare to before when it was just JWT, SAFC, or straight standalone. I know there was some stupid products that came out, but there was good too as point out earlier.

well since fnf came out.. there was a boom of apc and the likes.. i went to walmart and prolly saw 5 different magazines on the shelf towards sport compact tuning now.. back in teh day it was only scc..

i did a college report on the issue of media influence and i found stats that in san diego the rate of street racing increased each year since 01.

Im pretty sure the guys above are pretty much saying that its not becuase its a movie, but becuase stupid people get influenced to do it. and corporations wanna cash in on it. The media needs censorship. like underage girls and teen clubbing, gosh i hate that but its getting bad too cuz lil girls think its cool. haha

They never went to the track in F&F1. They just drove in huge packs and hard parked while watching a street race. That is exactly what happened to street racing here after the movie.

Here in Canada, the 240sx is becoming the new Civic. My mom has been followed and/or asked if she was selling her car 3 or 4 times in the last couple months. Kids want 240's to drift...this movie is only gonna make kids want them more. Wasn't really sure if this movie would help or hurt the drift/JDM scene. It will help it by making it bigger...but kids are idiots. 240's are one of the cheapest cars available that is known to be a drifter, so it is the car everyone will try and go after.

Yes the simple minded will likely try and immitate the info, so what. Don't associate yourself with them. Let them go out and destrot their cars, they aren't hurting my car. If you're worried about your car being stolen, tough. There is nothing you can really do to stop them. The movie isn't gonna make your car any more valuable or sought after then it already is. Primedia has already done enough hyping of the drift world to do that. It's just a movie for FUCKS sake.

It's a movie for crying out loud. Entertainment is all it is. The people who watch it and are influenced by it are at fault, not the movie. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing it. That doesn't mean I'm going to dori-dori in the parking lot after watching it, but on the same note, others will.

All I know is, I already PAID for my 240, so price increase can't really hurt me. And I certainly won't be needing any increasingly rare SR20 parts (or KA or RB or Japanese engines period) for my swap.
