Speed limiter

I just bought a 1990 240 and i tried topping it out, which i couldn't because the car stopped accelerating around 180. The funny thing is that in 4th at around 6k rpm it stops moving or in 5th at lower rpm, so my prediction is that it kicks in at a certain speed.

Yep, 180 klicks is it. Their is a way around it in FAQ...but remember, the track is the place to play. Our brakes are not really good enough at those speeds. Look at brake upgrade in faq as well

I'll go with Bill on this one... Dont top out without upgrading brakes... The stock ones blow ass and will fade to all hell... Trust me its not fun to slam on your brake and have it just stop grabbing! And burning pads dont smell to great.
