in need of an rb guru or electrical guru
hi need some help here
i just finish with my rb20det swap and i have one problem here it is. My engine turns over but does not start unless u spray started fluid. i did not build my own harness i bought a wiring specialist harness to be easier. what i have check and know i have chek 1. i have spark 2. i have fuel to the rail 3. i have constant 12v to the connector on the injector 4 i have check all the grounds but cant seem to find a lose one 5. the spark plugs are not wet my problem is from what i have trouble shoot is that the injectors dont pulse? causing no fuel in the chamber i have done some research but came up ecu, cas or ground. I check the ecu for codes and have 55 code witch is clear so guessing the cas is also good. any suggestions on where i can go from here ????? |

i vote CAS or reversed fuel lines as well. unless your engine jumped timing or broke a t-belt

Did you try and take out the CAS and spin it by hand to see if the injectors are clicking and coil packs are firing?

No I didn't try to take it off and spin it by hand since I have spark to the coil and the motor is turning over |

Take out the cas and give it a spin and see if you hear the injectors click, the coil packs will fire too but you said you know that's working so just listen for the injectors clicking.

Check your dash plug. There will be a orange wire that runs from up under the glove box to the ecu. That orange wire is for your injectors to batch fire while cranking. If that wire isn't getting 12v while cranking you will experience the problem you are having

hey guys just want to share that i found the problem with motor i did a noid test to check for a signal to the injector to the ecu and i had a signal . Note i had fuel i had spark only thing that was missing was fuel in the cylinders . The problem was the injectors were not clicking (pulsing)i took off the fuel rail and they were all full of gunk. Got them clean a little and clicking. Having one of my buddies that works at injectorclinic take them to clean them out .
Just wanted to share in case anyone else has the same problem and anyone doing a swap with a motor sitting for a long time to clean ur injector out . thanks for the help |
