well i want to see what most people did for this  part!

where the wastegate dumptube meets the downpipe, you will notice there is a gap between the two, as if they are two different sizes. i noticed that i am backfireing and my wastegate is no black from all the exhaust flames hitting it, what did you guys do to stop this.

for your information i welded it together. and i think that  was the best way but i havent tested it yet. please get back to asap!

Mine has been replaced with a single piece pipe. (Yes, it's welded together) No real need for a flex junction there.
