April 15th will be the official kick off competition for the DRIFT x BATTLE Amateur Competition Series. DRIFT x BATTLE is proud to host this event open to all amateur drivers. Any driver that is interested in testing their skills against some of the best amateur drivers is invited to participate. For information regarding the event, rules and regulations please visit the DRIFT x BATTLE site www.driftbattle.org

When: Sunday, April 15th, 2007
Location: Altamont Motorsports Park, 17001 Midway Road, Tracy, CA
Spectators: YES!!! Please come out and support the drivers and enjoy the drifting!

Our time will be totally different from our last comp event. We pretty much tried to learn as much as we can on our last practice event of how we are going to handle our competition event.

No down time (maybe 20 minutes for tire change).
The event will probably be from 9-8PM so we should have plenty of practice.

But note, this is a competition. Most competition does not give you a lots of practices but we will do our best for you guys to learn the track lay outs.

Our 2007 Press Release.

Luke Lonberger and Sonny Morejohn will be doing the NASCAR demo!

We're also working with a few D1 Japan drivers to come out and do demo at Altamont.

Looking forward to help promote Drifting in norcal.

Also this is a big step for our sport. We allready have drifting associated with Champ car, NHRA, Rally, and other venues. Now that Nascar is getting involved it's really amazing. This is another oportunity to show new people what drifting is all about, and will in turn bring out potential sponsors, media attention, and recognition for the sport.

Big thanks to Drift Battle for setting this up.

1st - $500
2nd - $300
3rd - $160

i was there at the alameda board of zoning approval. basically, its the neighbors against the use of altamont raceway for drifting.

APRIL 15th will be the last event for DRIFTxBATTLE.

Sorry to informed everyone that The County’s “Board of Zoning Approval” have informed Altamont that drifting will not be allowed anymore after April 15th. I suggest all you guys to register on our last event.

We like too give a big thank you to everyone that came out today and supported us. Hoping us DRIFTxBATTLE would be able to find a new venue to practice.

damn the residents around the track are ON IT!!!

r they just rich people bored to death? what valid claims they have against driftevent participants? any proof, footage, names, LIC#? i never noticed anything unusual, but if there are people drinking/smoking/driving stupid, why they dont call local cops or have one squad car standby? are Driftbattle events really that different from nascar events? in terms of noise, mess and breaking law? what about individual practice runs on open track day? is that outlawed too?

PLEASE, LETS FIND NEW VENUE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. CONE COURSE, NOTHING FANCY, IN CASE WE HAVE TO MOVE AGAIN.

I'm just sad because same shit happend to NCDA last year and I'm tired of it.
