S13 auto belt quick question

I went to get my auto belts fixed and they said they can't do it cause the computer is discontinued. That's bullshit cause it's lifetime warranty and if you discontinue the parts then you're not honoring the warranty.
Well Anyway here's my problem.... The belt is stuck in the forward position and i'm wondering is there a way to move it back and lock it in place? I can deal with putting the belt on every time i get in the car, but it bother's me that i only have a lap belt. I just want something there while i sort this problem out with them.

take off the trim panels, use an Allen wrench on the motor
then disconnect the plug.

disconnect the plug for a day or 12hrs plug it back in, when you plug it back in the motor should start unless it's broken in some fashion or the a electrical/wiring problem. More dramatic if you plug it back in with the door closed.
OP this should work for you too!
I've done both of those methods twice in 8yrs!

Do you know if sohc and dohc cars use the same controller? Found one for sale localy, might just grab it, but its from a single cam car.

sohc and dohc should be the same controller. If none of the previous methods work, you can swap them out for S14 manual seat belts. They are a direct bolt in.
