for a while i have been getting a tapp coming from my head, so i pulled the vc off and found nothing then i changed the timing chain tensioner which made me believe it would fix my problem. my sr bottom end was built about 7000 miles ago so me pulling the oil pan off i thought was pointless but when doing so i found half of my rocker guide in the oil pan.

my question is was that causing my tapping and b/c i have ras is that why i was able to still drive the car with out any problems?? the guide broke off the exhaust side , first rocker arm next to cas. the other half of the guide is still under the rocker arm

also the guides are all the same i can just order the guides w/out the shims any help would be great thanks!!!
