HICAS model question - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

I am in seach of a 91-93 HB,and do not want it HICAS equipt, so I was wondering which models have it, and which do not.I have been searching and Im getting the impression that if the model has ABS, then it has HICAS just want to make sure I am correct on this.

all hicas have abs but i dont think all ABS had hicas, or was it LSD?
anyways just look at the side molding there will be the workds SUPER HICAS
or look for the HICAS dummy light near the rear windsheild wiper

why dont you want HICAS? you want to drift or something?

why would you want Hicas? as a cornering assistance system it's very unreliable and unpredictable.

no, not all HICAS have ABS, at least my HICAS don't have ABS... but as I know, most HICAS model have LSD

ok guys having owned several Hicas cars, I can say that usually all Hicas have ABS if it does not then it was a option delete car. Just like a 89-90 SE no sunroof no spoiler and a 92 SE no sunroof.
Hatchbacks had the ABS option on all model years. The VLSD was a option after 10/91 again it was a order it basis option. The only Model it came on automatically was the Hicas cars.
To the original poster don't worry about getting a Hicas car they are not that common and like someone earlier said they have Super Hicas written on the side of the car in the trim strip.
