2JZ VVTI Swap

ok i got a great deal i'm looking at for a 2JZ-GTE VVTI front clip and i've read that people have been having trouble with this swap because of the VVTI being a drive by wire system but seeing how i'm getting an entire Aristo front clip would swapping out the pedals (re-using the same connections and wiring) i shouldn't have this issue i presume i just want to know before i make this jump seeing as how import taxes are 65% on car parts here in the bahamas

thanks in advance

If you swap out the pedals and retain the factory drive by wire system you shouldn't have any problems. Same way people pull off vq swaps when retaining the factory harness

The drive by wire on a vvti 2j is cable actuated. You will still have a throttle cable running from the gas pedal to the throttle body. When the cable pulls the pulley, and a servo acctuates the throttle body flap.
