AC Wiring HELP!
Okay i just bought this 1990 240sx s13 and it needs a little tlc. As far as the previous owner i can tell he wasn't the best electrician. The AC clutch is not engaging. I notice a red wire drawn from the fuse box shown below \/. It seems to be giving the ac clutch power some how???? I also noticed a blue and green wire cut by the wire harness, where it seems to me, a plug would go to connect the ac clutch the RIGHT way. Oh and if that's not enough what is that sensor and where does it belong the one shown in the picture that looks like an ambient temp sensor (right below the blue and green wire). As you can tell I'm new to this engine bay any help would be appreciated.

You're problem is multi-fold (potentially)
The system will only engage/work if their is freon in the system. If you turn the button on in the dash, does it light up? If not then it's usually a tell tale sign that it's not charged You can also run a jumper wire from the battery + post to the compressor plug. This supplies power to the clutch. If you do this when the car is off you'll see the clutch 'move' slightly...then when you turn it on, it should engage the clutch and start spinning with the engine. If you notice no 'drop' in temp within 10 seconds, you can almost bet the system is empty. In your case you'll need 134 conversion fittings to start. You may be able to vacuum it down, add the needed oil, and go...and it may work...but 9/10 when you zap the system after it hasn't run for a while, you'll end up having a fouled up compressor.
