S14 sr20 wont start (experienced opinions only pls)
97 240sx s14 black top sr20.
Ok guys thx for taking time outta ur day to help. The car was working fine up untill a week ago wen I got in it and tried to start it. All the lights on the dashboard work fine but when I turn the key all the way to start the car it clicks twice and all the lights shut off and the car does not start. Also the lights do not come back on for approximately 10 minutes. So far I have checked. - Battery is good, even tried another battery - battery cable is getting voltage to the starter and to the fuse box - the ignition fuse and other fuses all have 12 volts - tried jumping the car with another vehicle I'm not sure what the problem could be. - how to test if the starter is bad? - if its a short how the hell do I find that? - I do have a voltmeter Any help will be greatly appreciated I need the car to get to work. Take a screw driver and jump the starter lead to the solenoid. It's really easy if it kicks over and spins you know it's not the solenoid.
There is also a clutch interlock relay that's known to go out and cause similar issue.

If you are getting a click from the starter and the lights go dim/shut off, the symptoms indicate it may not be getting the power it needs.
Where is your battery located? If relocated to the trunk, then what is the wire set up you have? and what they ^^^^^ said! |

did you check the main large grey 75 amp fuse in the front fuse box, could be going bad. I have seem them act like a switch sometimes cause they didn't completely blow

I was thinking of when I was under the car helping a friend find a vh45 no start. haha same damn thing, the wire was just hanging there. hooked it up like normal, just fine |
