s14 1JZGTE standalone ecu options

Currently doing a 1JZGTE swap into my 98 s14, never purchased a standalone ecu or ran a bigger turbo set up and injectors so I really don't have a clue about which ecu will work, or why its better. Was hoping someone on here could feed me some info or suggestions.

You can use any standalone you want for a 1jz. The wiring has to be done for the particular engine and ecu you are doing so you essentially choose.

Depends how much $$$ you want to spend. The old AEM v2 is pretty good but doesnt have all the failsafes the new ECU's have.

I've read people having success with new cheap(er) ECUmasters but fully optioned out they get pricy also
