GUNMETALR32 S14 jdm oem kouki lip!!!!
alright boys and girls i decided to pull the trigger on the s14 jdm oem jouki lip..
this is a progress thread on the lip and this tread will get updated as i progress. as you already know my valances are already done and are getting feed back before i become an adviser and start selling them.. what!! you don't know about my valances.. check them out! http://zilvia.net/f/s-chassis/408533...ally-done.html one of the members (silnv) stepped up and decided to let me borrow his jdm lip.. i know it's hard to just hand over a $500 used lip.. but it will be in good hands. and will be returned in better than condition and ready for paint here are some pictures of the lip. and here are the oem hardware the lip looks in really good condition for being used .. and all the hardware is there because he bought the whole front bumper with the lip. and the lip was factory installed.. the only thing wrong with it is it was cut for a intercooler. so that will have to be fixed. i will design this lip about 1" lower than oem.. ( i will also hear your input on the drop of the lip.. before i actually start making it ) ohhh and this is going to happen.. |

These things are sooo hard to find. It will be nice for people to have a ready source to get the best looking lip for the JDM bumper.
I will be shipping it across the country next week, to get this process started. Couple notes I will add... 1) The mounting hardware is mostly complete, there were a few of the black clips (pictured at the bottom of the hardware pic) missing, as well as the bolt/screws that go with them. 2) The lip was only trimmed slightly on the back side to fit the FMIC. It may actually be a good idea to trim it down a bit in the design since most people will be running a FMIC anyways. This would save from cutting a newly obtained lip. I have a question for those of you with JDM bumpers. Are the holes used to mount this lip marked on the inside of the bumper, so it is known where to punch them out? |

I'd be interested in a lip like this that sits over the USDM Zenki lip and has the profile of the Greddy lip.

Totally in for this! When you say it'll sit lower, by how much are we talking? Curious since i'm sure we all still want something that's gonna match with oem sides whether they're kouki or zenki.
Still wish you'd copy the greddy one...its HORRIBLY engineered. |

I'm SOOOOO fucking in for this.
I'll be watching this thread, good luck man! Hope it comes out as well as the valances did. I'll order both from you Edit: Making it lower than the jdm lip sounds good!! Just saw that part. That way people can try running this with aftermarket skirts and such as well. |

As for the jdm one you're making, i wouldn't make it toooo much lower than zenki/kouki sides since there are already other lips out there that match with bigger, aftermarket sides (greddy, final konnexion, cwest, etc.) Like whitenoise said, an inch lower sounds about right. That's just my $.02 though. I'm sure what ever you do will be spot on! |

i don't think you'd have to make your lip with all the mounting points like the original. i have the oem lip and took them off and the lip still snaps into place and only really needs well placed 3m tape and a few screws to hold it in securely. i didn't want to have to drill like 6 holes in my bumper lol

the greddy one just uses 2 screws in the fender well and 3m double sided tape. I'll see what up when I get the lip |

as long as the parts are modified 10%.. i have made slight alterations to proceed.. and the fact that nissan discontinued all these parts and i'm not stealling there business with my parts.. i'm actually making them business. since people don't want the jdm rear bumper with out the rear valances.. they are selling more rear bumpers.. as with the front bumpers and all future parts i will be making.. and i don't understand why you have to post this in 2 of my threads.. if you want to talk to me about the copyright act and my products you can pm me ... if you have a problem with my products you have the choice of buying the real oem parts.. no one is making you buy my parts..
