VIDEO: The Stig runs the GT-R around Top Gear's track
It's the lap time that everyone has been waiting for. Just how fast can the Stig push the Nissan GT-R around Top Gear's test track? Those who couldn't wait could see the track time posted on Wikipedia a few days ago. Even after the entry was removed (it's since been added back in), Wikipedia still allowed users to review the revisions made to an entry. So while the GT-R's time may have been no secret, those with enough will power not to look can now watch the video of the GT-R lap the Top Gear test track and have the result still be a surprise. Even if you do know the time, it's still worth watching, and as an added bonu,s Clarkson wrings out the GT-R at the Fuji race circuit. Just follow the jump to watch the video. Holy crap, I just looked up the Power Lap listing and shits .2 of a second behind the Ariel Atom. Porker of a car called the GTR runs as fast as a 240hp/1000 lbs car.

fucking beat a 430 Scuderia and just below a Enzo!! which is pretty much a F1 car for the street. Man I knew there was a reason I like this car.

Dude, erase the Modena from that list. Add something worthy of the Ferrari name like the 355. Too many douche bags in the 360.

i hope the vspec has a better trans... be nice to see nissan put less restraint on the car due to "fears of aftermarket companies taking the car far beyond its intended designs"

Trans. seems to be the weakpoint in the GT-R. Forgot what Japanese tuning company commented on it, but the addition of X amount of power gave them doubts of the transmission lasting for to long. The transmissions are built specifically for the motor they're mated too and made to run perfectly with the stock engine setup. Seems like a delicate machine when you come to think of it.

I believe it was mines that after doing their aftermarket ecu tune along with exhaust is when they started to notice issues with the trans since they added more power to the output.

Ray I respect you, but you and CKAMC need to stop the smack talk. A double clutch paddle shift transmission is not your fathers automatic and you need to stop hating. I bet you have never driven one and would shit in your pants if you did. If its good enough for Formula 1 its good enough for the GTR.
Until you step to the plate and actually drive this transmission you need to stop your criticism.
