We wrapped up our inaugural South Sound Summer Jam event a couple of Sundays back. It was an awesome experience for me, took a lot of work, time, etc - all in all it was a learning experience that I hope to carry over into next year.

We ended up raising over $6850 for NDSS (National Down Syndrome Society) and South Puget Sound Up with Down Syndrome (southsoundupwithdowns.com).

South Sound Summer Jam was hosted at South Sound Speedway located in Rochester, WA. This year's event was the first of it's kind, with a charity car show and proceeds going to South Puget Sound Up with Down Syndrome and The National Down Syndrome Society, to a team tandem drift competition with a cash prize of $1,000 to the winning team. The show manage to raise a total of $6,850.00 to those two charities, overpassing previous years goals by far. We teamed up with Russell Moore of Nissanparts.cc again this year and was on hand covering the event. We had a blast at the show besides being sunburnt afterwards and can't wait until next year already. We wanted to thank Russell for having us out again, and everyone who helped,attended,sponsored and donated. Pretty bummed to hear you were not going to make it. I literally opened up the solo drift because you pressed me to. We had tons of guys interested though.
