Need help with sr swap

Well im about to be finished with my swap but ran into some problems and some stupid one also. First off even though u get what you pay for but damn, i wouldn't expect the fitment on this intercooler to be this much off or am i installing it wrong? Got this one off from ebay, heard from ppl that ebay intercoolers are OK. Well here some picture tell me how i can hook this shit up.

If i hook it like that the pipe is higher than the hood.

And here is another problem, there are several plugs near the battery tray that doesn't seem to hook up to any of the sr lower harness except for one that is plugged up in the picture:

thanks in advance

Are you sure you bought the right intercooler setup?? If your going to use that existing pipe your definatly gonna have to fab it so your hood will close, also that hole is going to be an issue unless your planning on blowing off on the hot side.
When you swap to sr some of the plugs coming off the fuse box and the lower harness are not used. If your have everything that fits together already plugged in then you should have it wired right. Ill see if i can get some better pics of mine you can compare.

Yea im pretty sure i bought the right intercooler. Oh, what wrong with bov on hot side? Also, i thought most of the lower harness plugs just plug up. Well forgot to mention i have an s13 blacktop lower harness if that makes any difference.

You have 2 post...So no flame from me. You are not the first to attempt an sr swap. So all the hard work is done. just search wiring or whatever.

Your pipes, turn the pipe around so the BOV flange is at the front of the car, use a 90deg or 45deg to connect it to the turbo outlet and a straight whatever for the other side.

I can help with your wiring if you need it.

Theres nothing wrong with blowing off on that side its just some believe you can build more boost before blowing off if you locate your blowoff closer to the throttlebody. I have never seen an ebay kit for sr that has a hot pipe that looks like that and that has a hole for a blowoff. Most kits require you to fab your on blow off port. I have an ebay intercooler too and mine is no where near close to that

Is that a good thing or bad thing for the bov hole right there? I know that it will have better response if i have the bov closer to the the turbo. Should i plug the bov hole up and weld another near the turbo? Here is what it looks like eBay Motors: GODSPEED 89-94 240SX SILVIA S13 SR20DET INTERCOOLER KIT (item 300269259289 end time Nov-03-08 10:59:12 PST) just different brand but still from ebay. Do you think i will lose power or whatever from this intercooler setup?

Na, you wont loose power or anything like that. honestly its just personal prefrence. But in your situation Im sure you just care about getting your car running to start with. The easiest thing to do would be to run your bov off the hot side for now and then maybe later get your hands on a different hotpipe and then customize your piping on the intake side if you want to. The pics on ebay arn't that great, its hard to see where the hole is on the hotpipe. heres the link to the kit that I have, ebay too but bolted right up and works great. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-Truck-Parts-Accessories__CXRacing-FMIC-INTERCOOLER-KIT-89-94-240SX-S13-SR20det_W0QQitemZ330282340072QQadnZCarQ20Q26Q20Tru ckQ20PartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQadiZ2865QQcmdZView Item?hash=item330282340072&_trkparms=72%3A543%7C39 %3A1%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245

I hope you can find some way to get that pipe to work, cause most shit you buy on ebay doesnt have that great of a return policy. for your wiring issue check this website out: SR20DET Swap Engine Harness Wiring Diagram Guide SR SR20 it has a legit write up on sr swaps with good pics, and it should answer your mystery lower harness plug questions.

i think it works, according to cotbu i think he is right about my piping. Well ill update up guys on this intercooler. But i am still lost as to those plugs coming from the fuse box. It doesn't seem to connect with anything. The only plug that does goes to something is already connected in the picture.

if there is no info, then you prob do not need it. do exactly as they say on heavythrottle.com and you should be ok as far as wiring.

I followed Heavy Throttle and I've had no issues at all.
