kat hypothetical.
if I ran a s14 t28 on a ka with a aem standalone with a quality. shop to dyno tune it. with all supporting mods minus engine work. I push 17psi.
what would happen? would it be a fun excuse to need a new turbo? will I regret doing this? what failed first? the piston or the crank? |

Throw some yellow sti (535cc iirc)in there and only 15psi, smack a good clutch in, and a good tune you'll be good to and gap the plugs down and swap to a few steps colder

Idgi. How is what not working?
None of this is about working thats the whole point of the fucking thread. I have solid parts across the table what happens when you push the bottleneck of your system to its limits is the basic question here. All i hear is "its all in your tune and fuel delivery/timing" so does my turbo just pop? Do i even hit 300hp doing 15-17psi? Looking for people with expierence here in something stupid like this im sure ppl have done it on this website before : ) |

So you're going to put on an EMS, fuel system, and built bottom end to support the boost level but run a tiny ass turbo that is inefficient after 5-7psi? It's not like a properly sized turbo is expensive especially if you go second hand. Bottom mount setups are so ugly and hard to work on and you're limited on manifold choices. Why why why.....

I have a T28 on 14 PSI. I wish I was on a GT2871R.
If I had more money, that would be my next set up.
