Stealing a Z32 security questions
I just picked up a 92 300zx TT a few weeks ago. New to the z32 game, was into hondas previously. I just want to now often are these cars stolen? Maybe I should refraim by asking, should I be concerned like how I was with my 98 Type R? Any tips? Im in the OC area if that makes a different. Probably a vague question. I know they dont have immobilizers like the newer cars so im sure these are just as easy to steal as any honda.. haha just answered my own quetion.

If someone really wants your car, it will get stolen. There are precautions you can make to make it harder for them from stealing your lovely ride. An alarm can sometimes deter theft, a paging alarm can alert you when your ride is getting tampered with. Detachable steering wheels with a QR lock can make it hard for them to drive off if they managed to bypass the alarm and kill switch. Turning your steering at full lock and using a QR lock with you ebrake set will also make it hard for them to to tow it off. Especially if they prefer not to break into the car and just want a quick get away. Tire boots can be a hardcore measure, but it is an option. Effective rim locks that actually have hundreds different key patterns is cheap and can also help. There is so many other devices, techniques, and custom work you can do but I'm sure someone will make a thread about it or maybe they already have.

The less you want your car stolen (regardless of what kind it is), the more you will invest in its protection.
Ultimately if a thief wants it bad enough, they WILL get it. Recommendation: Get alarm. Get Lojack. Maintain insurance. Be vigilant. Make it a hard/undesirable target*. *via the use of detachable steering wheels/club/autolock/etc. |

Integras get stolen a BILLION times more often than 240's. I had three integra's before my 240, and ended up getting out of the Honda game in part because i was just too paranoid about it. I feel a little more at ease with my 240, but i do still worry. I have it insured for what its worth though.
