I just used bolts from the hardware store, no big deal. I never used those brackets either but have the flexplate that goes between the transmission and motor.

The engine itself seems to be series 1, I had the wiring as a series 2 however. The head is sold though, still have two blocks. One block is bare without pistons or rods- great condition though. The other block is assembled but compression was 120 psi on 5&6
