They can do better than that.
Like stated earlier Front cambers almost a full degree off from each other. What suspension mods do you have? Cause if you have all the arms they should have no problem zeroing those things out. I personally would not be happy with that alignment. But I'm picky so I suppose to each his own. I would also add a touch more camber in the rear and bring it up to -1* Front I would bring them both down to -3* Toe because you have a decent amount of power maybe .20* in both sides in the rear. Front I like zero.

I think toe out in the rear is wonky, feels like the back is steering haha. Whatever you decide to do, just try to make sure everything is close side to side.

Toe out in the Rear is Bad and very scary lmao.
Your gonna constantly be fighting to keep the rear end in check. Toe out in the back is never good, atleast from my personal exp and what I see. But I mean alignments are all personal pref. It's just after reading that you have ALL SPL arms with the exception of LCA's your Alignment should have no reason NOT to be spot on. I would atleast ask him to Zero out both Toe's, go toe in in the rear if you pls but most def not out. And play with the camber if they want. It's not too bad but not something I would be pls'd with. Everyone has there own way of setting up there cars. I can tell you how to setup your car all day long. That doesn't mean it's gonna work for you or you'll like it. But you could use it as a starting point if you pls.

Is it normal to have to clutch kick a lot on a stock s13 sr20 with a t28 turbo? I tried doing little donuts today and I had to reduce throttle to about half way in order to avoid from oversteering too much but as soon as i get back on it after correcting my line I won't have enough power in time to keep the wheels spinning. Is this turbo lag or am I letting out too much on the gas? I just got this motor in and i learned on a n/a ka and I'm not use to turbos yet.

So far I my success rate is one out of three tries lol. All different corners. My succesful one was
aproach 90* corner from outside start turning in +handbrake+clutch the rest happened too fast lol. But I didnt crash. Waiting for more rain to learn since I'd like to stay slow(er) for now. Plus open diff+nearly new tires is stupid. Last edited by DialedLife; 02-25-2013 at 11:36 PM.. Reason: typos |

So, I've been considering dropping the wheel size down to 16's to help with the lack of power. Saving up for a KA-T is going to take awhile because I want to to do it right. In the mean time, I can drift my heart out. Consensus?

Open diff will get you BAD HABIT when you have LSD or locked diff later. because the car will act differently with proper LSD than open diff... I suggest you to get the diff before do it again. so you can learn or have an experience with proper set up. |

I went out trying to drift tonight, i finally got one decent one, kind of. But the angle was weak. I had one where i had some crazy understeer and was still burning out. That felt pretty weird haha. Its stupidly annoying but its fun to try. |

Then we try to justify it with a few more bolt on's till we realize it's not doing us much justice lol. Luckily for me here is all short/med speed corners so 3rd gear entry is about the most I get. Now to get that 4.375 R&P in there.

I drove one with all stock everything in a beater that me and two friends put together from spare shit lying around his home garage. The car was basically naked (no front body panels, bare interior etc. Felt like it had alot more power than it should have(even at 28psi in the rear), and I was lucky to top out 2nd if I hit the longest straight properly. (very small track). Was still on stock SE wheels in the rear though. That probably helped out a TON. I'll take your word on the situation, less rotational mass would help. Or maybe you just have a tired KA24de? |

Most KA's out there are tired.
Rebuilt ones feel so nice. Most KA's won't put more than 120-130 down with bolt ons. Some lucky ones with healthy ones get to put down 140+. Seen a rebuilt on with I/H/E put down 155.

I'm going to try and do the 248/232 cam swap on the car. That with the z32 16's should help a bunch. I am probably going to go strip out the interior of the car soon too. For funsies and the experience lol

only thing really worth taking out from the interior's basically the air bags and spare tire.... anything else you're not going to shave too much off. carpet, all interior panels, rear seats you're looking at around 30-40 pounds tops.

Much better than trying to tighten the cables beyond belief.

I don't have the Gk-tech ones, but I did just modify my stock ones. It didn't cost me a cent. It works great, just remember now your locking point for your e-brake it a lot higher than it used to be. You'll get the hang of it super quick.

Out here we have our events at an old airport and there's usually a 3rd gear 70+ mph sweeper in the courses. Last month my stock ka was keeping my car sideways with 225/45/17s on mb battles with 40 psi through the sweeper and I was entering at like 5k in 3rd whatever that translates to.

There's no doubt it can't be done. But I assure you our N/A KA angles are much shallower than that of a Stock SR.
Which I mean we all know but just throwing that out there. I'm gonna see how far I can push my KA with knuckles until its not enough. What kind of tires do you use in the back? Last time I had 225 DZ101's and they seemed a bit grippy for my liking as far as sliding goes.
