Megan down pipe touched frame rail(Brand new DP)

I'm having a pretty big fitment issue with my megan down pipe touching the frame rail.I can't even bolt it up because the frame rail is in the way.Has anyone else had this issue with their Megan DP.
My set up is a Red top Megan bottom mount manifold,T28 megan elbow and attempting to install a megan dp.On an s14.Frame rail is straight also.
With my s14sr oem dp I had zero fitment issues.
Did I get a defective DP?

Thanks

Are you bolting it up in the correct orientation, because it doesn't sound like it.

Yes for sure I am.If I were off.then it would be either sticking out the wheel well or on top of the transmission.I need roughly another inch of clearance to be away from the frame and have it not hit the frame when the engine twists under load
Thanks for the reply though

If it doesn't fit, then try buying another downpipe. I'm using a megan style manifold, megan elbow, ebay downpipe and its super close to the frame rail on my s14 with s13 sr20.
