S14 - Power increase documentation
Hi
(This is my first post on the forum, sorry if it's not correct) I've contacted the "DMV" in Norway and they told me that it should be able to use documentation from the NISMO 270R for approval of a power increase. It would also be ok with any "chassis power limit/handling document". Does anyone know how to find any documentation like this? I've contacted NISMO without anyone answering and Nissan Norway just wants their hands off it. Does any of you know if some of the RB-engines from R33 GTS/GTR, R34 GTT/GTR is EU-type approved (emission limits etc.)? Any help/information about this kind of power increase documentation would be great, thanks |

Nissan will do nothing for you here. The rb26dett does not pass emission regulation in the EU either.
I am afraid you won't be able to do anything legally. |

Yes, Nissan is not cooperating with this kind of stuff. But the DMV said it would be enough documentation if I got my hands on a document that described the modification of the chassis on the 270R, and what I've found on the web its only strut tower bars and upgraded nismo brake pads.
In my opinion, it should be able to get this paper from either NISMO or Nissan...! The rb26dett will be very difficult, but the rb25det neo is more likely I think. If not, it should be able to use an inline 6 engine from another make which is EU-type approved. Like BMW, toyota etc. |
