Hi, I was looking into suggestions for what size front spacer to use on my 4 lug front hubs. I will be putting on 17x7.5 +22 wheels with a 215/40/17 tire. I have Z brakes so im pretty sure it wont clear (wheels are still on order so dont have a clue at the time) and I want them to be pretty flush. Id like to use a small spacer so i dont have to use extended studs or buy wheel adapters.

Question 1: What is the largest spacer I can use while still running the stock wheel studs?

Question 2: What would mm spacer/adaptor would make the wheels fit the flushest?

get bolt on spacers, they will bolt on to your stock studs then at the end of the spacer will have another set of studs, alot safer and you can get fat ones like 25mm, but then you should get a set for the rear too.

1. Most people say 5mm. I've ran 1/4" (~6mm) and it seemed fine, so I'd say 1/4" max.

2. 15-20mm

That's the best solution. I run a 10mm spacer on 17x7.5's in the front but I have longer studs. 10mm should clear your bigger breaks and will definitly still be flush. If you run into problems with a 25mm spacer keeping the tires flush however you can always bump the camber up to 4degrees, plus your car would look hot!

yea thanks for all the info guys, i just need the spacer for up front, the rears are going to be perfect, 17x9.5 +22, so those will be right on the fender with a slight roll and strech of the tires, im planing on cambering out the front neways so i guess ill look into a 20-25mm bolt on spacer. ill throw some pics up in a few weeks show ya what it ended up looking like. thanks again
