Dalaz according to your wording of the OSHA riddle 3 ladders would be correct. However if a WORKER must be within 25 yards of a ladder at all times THEN 2 ladders would be correct.

It's New Year's Day and Suzy's birthday is New Year's Eve. On the 30th, Suzy was 8 and turned 9 on the 31st. This year, she'll turn 10 and next year she'll be 11.

Answer:
With the window being open there was a strong draft that blew over the glass fish bowl on the table causing it to break... leaving the body of a dead fish on the floor.

I'm not sure how to post answers in a colored text, so I've PMed the answer to you so I don't ruin it for someone else. Can someone tell me how to post colored text?
Next riddle: A dragon and knight live on an island. This island has seven poisoned wells, numbered 1 to 7. If you drink from a well, you can only save yourself by drinking from a higher numbered well. Well 7 is located at the top of a high mountain, so only the dragon can reach it. One day they decide that the island isn't big enough for the two of them, and they have a duel. Each of them brings a glass of water to the duel, they exchange glasses, and drink. After the duel, the knight lives and the dragon dies. Why did the knight live? Why did the dragon die? These riddles I post are from a site: http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~wwu/riddles/intro.shtml, if you feel like wasting more time. There's no wording/trick riddles, just a ton of math riddles (not my cup of tea) and some logic riddles. |

answer for devil ? below just high light. and i think i figured out the devil one....i'm going to assume the table you are playing on is round, because if it's square i dont see how you can come up with a solution. but in a round table one would assume it has perfect symmetry. so by going first and placing a coin in the middle you would be able to control the amount of free space that is left on the table. after the coin in the middle of the table is placed, no matter where the even number coins are placed there would be an opposite side to that space because of a round object's symmetry. all that thinking and yudalicious answered before me....damn yous

Sorry, I un-posted the answer, but it wasnt quick enough. You're absolutely right. I've been thinking about this riddle as well, and I think any shape where you can establish one axis of symmetry can work - though I may be wrong.

^i think it would only work for a round table because of its shape...a square or rectangular table would allow for 2 points of symmetry instead of just one.

Yes, but you can choose to mirror it along the original intended axis - I always wondered why the orignal wording specified round, there must be a reason I suppose. Good job, now try the other one, should be easier.

Why did the knight live? Because he drank a combined glass of water from wells 6 and 2 to counteract what he believed was water from well 7?
