I won't tell you to do more research, but I will tell you to SEARCH! Or just browse. Seriously...
In the Zilvia.net Forums > General > Tech Talk > Engine Tech http://zilvia.net/f/engine-tech/62607-sr20det-faq.html Or even this. Let me google that for you How do you even tie your shoelaces in the mornings? |

How did you survive the first 20 years of your life dude? This is the most basic s-chassis question. Did you even try? What did your research "here and there" consist of?
Heavy Throttle and Heavy Throttle Good basic SR20 stuff you should read before attempting a swap. But honestly, its not rocket science. Unbolt one motor, bolt new one in. Rewire afew things. Or pay someone to rewire for you. Nothing terribly complicated.

my suggestion is to find service manuals for the car you have and the car that the motor comes out of. that is what me and my friend did on his car and worked really good for us. we are mid s15 swap into a 95 s14.
pm me if you got specific questions and i will try to help you out. |

Dude, your in VA Beach!! There are alot of guys there and in the Hampton/Norfolk/Suffolk areas that have SR20DET's in their cars, so check this out:
VAdriven.com Forums - Powered by vBulletin There are a ton of guys in your area that can help you. Go to their meets and check out their cars too! And, yeah, do a little more searching. As stated above, this subject has been run into the ground! There are lots of threads about this, whether it's dyno runs, installation write-ups, tuning success and failures, and ALOT of guys who try new things, it's been done!

WHy dont you stop being a lazy SOB and read up?!?! Trust me, you start reading, the more you'll ever learn from one fucking person telling you what they think.
You know why people are bitching? Because this question has been fucking asked on this forum for over 8 years. I did the same shit you did back in 04 and learned by reading up on alot of shit online. You ask questions when you hit a roadblock and your absolutely stumped (after you tried to look it up). I mean for fucks sake, if you really did a research...you even figured out what SR you wanna put into your S14??? I got a feeling you dont even know that there are differences. |

you can always pay a motorsports shop near you to do all the work..
bring in the motor, swap it in.. tune it.. all matters what you wanna do.. swapin it in is the easy part, speaking from exp.. now come time to wanna past the 300rwhp club.. now it gets interesting.. thats where im stuck.. if anyone has some input in my sr20 upgrading turbo thread.. http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/238769...ml#post2617114 i dont mind smart ass remarks, i can take it and learn from it.. usual;ly when u get smart ass remarks, you must of asked stupid / common sense questions! |
