voltage drop from switched 12v
weird issue here, cant really think of any solution.
i've got my fan controller wired up to the switched 12v source coming off of the window washer pump. anyways when im driving , and this only really happpens during the day when its hot outside, the fans just turn off. but when i turn the car off when this happens and put the key to the 'on' position the fans turn on. i start the car again and the fans turn off. i looked at the voltage going through the 12v wire going to the fan controller with a multimeter and when its acting up i dont get more then 5 volts... but when everything is working fine i get a voltage reading of 12.2 volts when the car is off and 14v when the car is on. any thoughts guys ?? thanks. |
