SR coolant temp sensor issue

Alright guys i have a 1996 240sx with a redtop sr20det. I need to change the coolant temp sensor because it is reading wrong. which one do I get? i tried the one for the 1996 kade but the plug won't work! the 1995 one will plug in, but will it work??

S14 sensor should work. You match the sensor with the gauge cluster you are using. You sure you swapping out the right sensor?!?! There are 2 sensors on top of the water pump housing, swap out the 1 wire sensor with your S14 KA one.

The 2pin temp sensor for the ECU or the 1pin thermal transmitter for the gauge cluster?

alright guys got it sorted out. replaced both sensors, the 2-pin one with an s13 one and the 1-pin one with the s14 ka one

I bought a coolant temp sensor for a 92 KA, tried to put it in my blacktop sr but the threading on the sensor isnt the same as the threading I have inside the bank. Its the two pin ecu sensor. Help fast so I can get this done tonight. Also, the connector works but I cant get it to thread into the motor....http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...&parentId=59-0

I got the one for 95 ka, which is the same part number as the s13 ka's and mine screwed in just fine to my redtop sr

I have an 93 s13 with a zenki s14 sr my temp gauge on the cluster is alwAys buried what should I do?
