Some new pics/updates on my drag car project :)
I haven't had a lot of time to work on my car lately.. things have been busy at the shop.. but here's a few pics of the car since we painted it, put the engine in, made the intercooler piping/intercooler setup, and started wiring the TEC II up.
Now... I know what you're thinking... but hey, it's a drag car, it's functional, and it doesn't look THAT bad. I mounted the TEC II inside the car on the firewall... This will keep it out of the heat and moisture.. plus it makes for a neater engine bay. As you can see, we shaved off the IACV from the intake manifold, plus the little tabs. This had to be done to fit the top feed rail with 1000cc injectors. No big deal, we shaved it, and welded plate on the holes. It will be ground down smooth for the finished product. The IACV for the TEC II can be mounted on the firewall with a hose running to it from a tapped spot on the back of the manifold. All in all, it's coming along nicely... I think it will be a very fast car when it's done. Travis |

I need to get the cage put in it... so I don't get kicked off of the track the first time I run it.. I've been looking around, but I can't find a specific "rule book" or even a set of rules for what I want to do. I want the car to be compliant for mid 9 second passes.. Anyone know where the specific rules are for my application?

Pulled my engine back out last night to install my JWT flywheel and clutch/pp. The cool thing about this clutch, is that it will hold the power that I am looking to make.. but it will still be totaly streetable. This same exact clutch is bieng used in several 550-600whp 300zxTT's. It's a large clutch disc and PP, and JWT's flywheel is specially made to fit it on an SR. Since the input shaft splines are the same on the Z32 and the Silvia/180sx, it fits just fine.
I also got my wiring harness for the TEC II finished.. I just have to tape/loom it up. I am working on the new body harness for the lights, blinkers, brake lights, etc... Travis |

ps, just my 2 cents, put the washers on the valve cover on the underside to show all of that purrrdy blue paint. Other than that, it looks hot as hell.
