I like spec, Plus its free through my sponsorship. I had their modified 350z version (stage 3 + w/flywheel) on this engine before I did this build. As for the rims I have these.

Super advan version 2 front are 18x9 w/+15 and rear are 18x10 w/-8. it took me awhile to get (9 1/2 months) with the custom color (D1 spec gunmetal) and size.

I was just giving you a hard time having all this top notch stuff but then having it topped off with the weakest link tho even if it was free. Of course it's clear money isn't an issue on your choice of parts. Why not go with a reputable brand with your own money.

I like spec, its holds 1300tq and has stock pedal feel. what makes spec the weak link? Wouldn't have minded the OS Giken.....It would match the transmission gears Im going with. The Nismo has a harsh engagement and spec is all I have ever used even before the sponsorship.

Which Model Nismo are you referring to?

Also Spec clutch's are known to be budget minded american clutch which often times fail. Just do a search on here on their brand in general and you will find countless clutch's that didn't live up to their expectations.

I just felt all this money you spend on these upgrades almost goes to waste if your clutch isn't up to par.

Hey I am doing a very similar S14 stroker build, on a slightly smaller budget but our end goals are pretty similar, and being your also using Bw turbo and full race manifold, I got exited and am following your thread!

I purchased a Brian Crower 2.3lt strokerkit,
JWT 275cams, retaining the vtc...

still very undecide if I go 90bore or 89bore on the pistons though, so I am holding off on that decision for a bit.....

most probable that I go with 89 in case I need a rebuild.
ordered sleeves, arp everything studs, with wpc coating on all the bearings and internals.
going BW efr 7670turbo twinscroll, and full race manifold.

ported and polished head.
goal is 600whp.

questions:I noticed you are using the sr tranny? do you really think it'll hold up to 500hp?
I would recommend doing the z32 tranny swap, you can do it pretty cheap. and will hold up to the hi hp numbers.

also yes, like others stated, if you use a VE head you can rev up to 9k and the head flows much better=more power.
hit me up if your interested, I believe you can aquire a ve motor for about $600-800 and buy the mazwork kit to make it work

looking forward to seeing how your motor behaves as yours will be done before mine is even machined lol..
good luck with everything and Ill be asking lots of questions.

I chose tomei because for their quality, the crower kit is nice and you'll like it. I chose the 88mm pistons because anything bigger then 89mm and your to lose to the water jackets. I started with a BW hybrid turbo, but after 4 cars had problems with them I chose something else. Im using a FP hybrid GT3076 twinscroll . I could have done the FP 3582 and gone for 600+ but the powerband was way too peaky. I got the WPC treatment and then got the coatings on the dome/skirts. as for the the sr20 transmission, Im running OS Giken internals (gears and center shaft) I've had nothing but problems with a Z32 TT transmission when I had my 536whp '90Z. as for the VE head.....Im good. I dont need 9K rpms, mine is great for from 3200-8500k. I didnt wanna deal with swapping everything over to that head and running all different stuff. Ill keep everyone updated........... This summer is going to be GREAT!

I totally understand it's all about budget!

didnt understand this part, can you explain? did you sleeve your motor? thought you did..I started with a BW hybrid turbo, but after 4 cars had problems with them I chose something else. I am hoping for a better powerband with the new EFR turbos with the lighter wheel, and quicker spool, i really only need the 500hp but want 700+ capable,

Gabe, he's saying if you go any larger than 88mm on your pistons you will have to get rid of the water jackets in the block. I'm not too sure on the specifics of the sr20 block and the piston sizes, etc. But you're better off asking Luis or an engine builder about that stuff who's familiar with the SR20 platform.

Or Touge could re-iterate for you in detail.

Gabe, I think the one you're looking at buying is the same one I'm getting (actually I'm getting the 64 not the 70) there is a thread on the nissan road racing forums right now with someone who has one and we're all eagerly waiting to see if this is a better setup than the famed gt28 setup zilvia loves so much.

I'm just going to skip the t25 route and go right into the same territory as yourself without all of the stroker madness.

If I read correctly in someones for sale thread the OS Geiken internals are like 3500 bucks, will also slightly change your gear ratios. However someone on zilvia is selling this exact upgrade for 2500 bucks.

Yeah I am interested in trying out the VE head setup but so much money is required to fit it, it's almost not even worth the cost. It's just how much more money do I have hanging out of my ass.
