from where you are in Salinas you will want to take the 152 East (or whatever way is easiest) to the 5 South..stay on the 5 south for about 2 hours and you will be there..when you pass Kettleman City you are about 20 or so minutes from there..i believe the exit for Buttonwillow Raceway is LERDO..however if you are arriving the night before, as i am, you will want to go about 5-10 miles past Lerdo and stay in a hotel off the HWY 58 or 56 or somethin (i am guessing from memory) exit...you can't miss it though..it has about 5 hotels and 6 gas stations and is the next exit with anything at all after you pass LERDO... on a side note..the great thing about running at Buttonwillow is the price of gas...the gas stations around the hotels are a good 30-40 cents cheaper then anywhere else on the 5..just a nice little perk.. any Q's just ask.. |

I had 40PSI all day but... The tires were AZENIS. Azenis don't have the greatest threadware but it was well worth it.
One thing is Im never going to use Azenis again since it gets too sticky after a few laps and I only have 100HP on my car. LOL But atleast I got to practice doing fourth gear to third gear drift. Takes a lot to get a damn POS 86 going. |

At the very first corner I take it from third then continue on to the next turn and down shift to second then continue on to the next turn on my second gear.
I take it from very high end third gear since I need all the high RPM on second gear for the next two turns when it goes up hills. I only have 100HP to the wheels on my car, Maybe less. 86 sucks. |

Al! This is Janet. I also worked the course during your run group. Everytime you'd come over to my side of the track, I was always like..damnnnnn!
richardxfeng: I think Al was the only orange corolla out there on Saturday.

Thanks guys. I blew one of my tires during the second session so that said no more DORI DORI or MANJI whatever matchacallit drift thingy.
My exhaust fell off so my car was helllllaaaaa loud and was giving me a headache. I had a great time so thanks to Club4ag.com staff. Who's Casper and what car was he driving? All I remember was a black 240 '97 and the driver was Calvin that was tearin it up. Pruto - Thanks. I was there Tuesday then Saturday so I push myself a bit to get some good action but it wasn't enough. The 2 off wheel in one session was scaring me since I didn't want to get kick out but during the last session they cut our group hella early and I was getting a headache so I didn't wanna push my car too hard anymore. Rich - I was the Orange Coupe. I don't think people could miss that orange. HAHAHHA But I know Alex and Mike but there car was like Red to me and hatches. Janet - hehehe Thanks. You were doing great out there also with Nadine but you guys didn't really get sideways tho. Were you the one that got stuck and had to get pulled out? hahahah "they said it was a girl". Slideways - Yup thats me. Im sponsored by MTSS, "umm" now. Al |

Casper was the maroon zenki s14 with a kouki face conversion with gold wheels up front, silver three spoke advans in the back, and carbon fiber hood. You couldn't have missed him, he was doing really great out there.
Al: Yes yes, the retard was meee. hehe. I pushed it a little too hard, spun out, and got my two rear wheels off the track. It wasn't that bad, but my car had stalled and wouldn't start back up cause my starter was giving me trouble. The guys just pushed my car and it started right up. I wasn't getting sideways on Saturday cause it was my intention to just grip all day. I haven't gotten enough track time to want to try my hand at track drifting yet.
