I realize it won't be a competitive car, I won't have the time to commit to be competative anyway. I was hoping I could get it on the track for fun without spending a fortune.

I would just enjoy the 1984 on the street/drag.
Not many people had luck with the 300zx because nobody wanted to be the one to foot all of the development to make it competitive.

Are you guys still there? I'm thinking of putting together an ITS 84 350ZX. The car isn't in good enough shape to restore, but it runs strong. I don't have the time or the money to build a competitive car, I just need one for fun. Are there any publications or other resources availible that could walk a rookie through the process?
