These people really spend a lot of time on this site don't they? Makes me wonder how much time they actually
wrench....."I built an R34 from the ground up in 15min."(in a forum maybe) Chances are that I along with most of my friends can take their cars apart and put them back together faster(not to mention properly)then they could.

It took time to set that up, unlike some photoshop crap we may see on the internet. It was done purely for the enjoyment of the masses. Do you really think anyone would have a reason to post something like that to harm, offend or disrespect for that matter?
This isn't a pissing contest, there is no "I'm right, and you're wrong". It is all in fun.
Another thing, please stop speaking for everyone else(other members). Quote:

Kind of like this cool post you thought the "masses" couldn't live without?

Honestly, it's a website, not "an underworld where I AM SUPREME!"
If it shouldn't be on the site then take it off, close it, or do whatever it is that you do to moderate it.
I think the problem was where he posted it, but notice that you did not take the time to direct him to where he should have posted it.

Next time maybe you should look to see how to better help the members before you pass judgment on their intentions. Also Philip, don't include your 2cents.

It was no less necessary than the actual existence of the thread in the first place. When we already have enough clutter from threads that the general masses find useless, what good does the creation of one that literally is useless (and is a stupid joke, to boot) do?
Also, in the interest of being very literal, what I said was Quote:
... anyone else tired of this kinda shit, feel free to -rep the OP
In no way is that telling members to -rep a user, but the fact of the matter remains, as well, that stupid posts, troll behaviors and bad jokes are one of the things that the system WOULD be good for, if people had not abused it out of it's usefulness.
I find it hard to believe, so much to the point that I don't, that your buddy is such a standup guy if he is ready and willing to waste our members' time, so I stopped reading that paragraph right there, in that I do not believe what people say they are when they show you something different.
Your concerns have fallen on deaf ears, your friend was dead wrong, and my post, only half-joking fit right in the precedent that he had set. Thank you for your concern though, nothing has changed and my post will not be edited, and probably wouldn't have needed to be there for the same results anyway.

Good job, there... Did you think of that yourself?
Did you notice that BOTH of those threads I started were in off-topic chat? You know the section where we included the headline
    Quote:
All non related chat goes here.
    ... did you notice that?
The fact of the matter is that YOU thought it is was clever (no "A" in that word, thanks) and it is readily apparent that very few others did.
The "we" that I speak for is not the entire forum, rather the staff, who would rather not see such nonsense take place in the middle of chat.
Furthermore, before you run to the aide of someone who you thing has been so egregiously wronged, I would strongly suggest you check your references, as I see not much more than his pissing contest about e-brakes and a lot of use of the marketplace, none of which does much to make one the "quality" member that you want to paint him to be. I mean, I can see where his attempting to send YOU business would advance your opinion of him, but my opinion is my opinion.
Allow me, as well, to inform you that I have not yet repped your buddy, but he saw fit to share his with me.
We could go back and forth all day, you can continue to spell my name wrong and I can (and probably will) just delete your messages without reading them from here on, as it seems that you're more interested in being right and me being wrong than you are with actually accomplishing anything here. Fact remains that my mind was made up on my opinion of your buddy before I clicked "post" on my response in his thread, and nothing you've said will likely change that, based solely on what I have read from his past posts.

*This was in response to what the moderator had to say before closing your post. They might take me off or whatever, but I got to do what's right! If they don't cool, and if they do well...such as life. Got your back buddy!*

I don't think it was necessary nor right for you to give any suggestions regarding whether to give positive or negative "Rep" power to the original poster. That is something that should be left to the members to choose for themselves, not you(moderator or not).

I am a shop owner in the city of Gardena CA., and know the original poster personally. He is a very straight up individual and in fact has done some great work and informative posts on your site. If you would take the time to view them you will see for yourself that he has contributed to the overall quality of the content(just view the members messages).

Honestly I don't care about "Rep" power, it is not what determines anything in the real world. Now on this site on the other hand it seems to mean a lot(at least to some people), and for that reason it should be the members decision to give + or - rep power. Not yours.

    Thanks for your time.
