yeah that sounds like it. the reason i thought it was the tranny is cause iwas going 70 down the freeway, and it felt like the overdrive gear just "broke off" and disappeared, then i rolled up to a stop light and when i tried to go, it made all these grindning noises, so i just figured it was the tranny. The motor only has 120,xxx so i didnt think the torque converter would go.

what's the issue you're having? is it grinding? not shifting? usually if there is a constant metal on metal type of sound (whether at idle or in drive) it's the torque converter.

dude i swapped the trannys, but i guess the torque converter is whats busted. so all that work, to not fix whats broken. whatever, im looking for a torque converter, if i cant find one, then ill just man up and go 5 speed. Well thanks for the parts though. peace.
