what does a DIS one look like? I usualy just pull the coil pack and put a spark plug wire from the coil to the spark plug and tap onto it there to get a reading.

still on ka, but does it makes a difference whether i had ka or sr or any engine in general when chosing a timing light ?

yes because Sr is a DIS (Distributerless Ignition System) and KA isnt. Most cars (older ones anyway) are not DIS, so your most likely going to find a standard timing light more often than not. Honestly I didnt even know about a DIS timing light before this thread.:yum: :yum: :yum:
