I got a check engine light after installing an Injen Intake. What's the fix for this? I used my OBD Scanner and 0443 code came out (IE EVAP Purge Valve Failure). This is the reason my car couldnt pass smog today! Is there a fix for this?? I checked all my hoses, and they're all secure. I already unplugged the (-) and reset the ECU. Even after that, the CEL still came on. I loosened my gas cap to let some gas pressure out, and nothing came out, so I know the EVAP Purge Valve is still working. What's going on?!?

take it to a dealer, they will diagnose for free

there is a sensor that is plugged in under the airbox, if you dont plug that up it will set off a code, as well as if you try to start the car (or maybe just put the key to ON) with the MAF/other sensor unplugged. your best bet is to take it to autozone and have it reset and see if it comes back.

reset the ecu manually...my last CEL required me to do so instead of the battery approach...

it could be the purge controls or solenoid valves. located by the evap canister.

Try resetting the ECU but unplugging the Neg Battery terminal for 5 minutes or so.
If you want to know what the problem is, try diagnosing the problem yourself by reading the ECU codes.
If you don't know how to do this, go to 240sx.org and go to FAQs. There should be a section called ECU Code Reading. You basically just have to uncover the ecu, rotate a little knob with a flat head, and count the red blinks that you see. Then match the light's blink code to the ECU code chart and VOILA! You got your problem right there.
