I took my car to 2 alignment shops around my area. One of them is the Firestone shop on Glendora and Amar..want to charge me $90 to do the alignment. I only have coilovers and tension rod on the front. So for $90 is that a good deal for a full adjustment setup? or should I just go to another shop?

Thanks

no thats a pretty decent price actually.
for a 'custom' alignment
any good shop (like alex phiefer/west end/hiro's auto) would charge same/more

so go for it
but i wouldnt go to a firestone, they are retards
find a local guy, small business, privately owned.

If you don't mind doing alittle driving to Gardena I would got to WestEnd alignment. Talk to Darin his # is (310) 808-9233 it is $90 for the alignment and think $130 with corner weight balance. Just had my other car done call them before you go he is really busy. Well worth the $90 and takes about 50 min.

Go here:

JC Auto House
9237 Lower Azusa Rd, Unit O
Temple City, CA 91780
626-287-7781

Ask for Cyrus for alignment (tell him referred by A Spec), we have him do all of our stuff, and he can do SLAMMED cars no problem.

Very meticulous, and he does mount & balance. Honest guy, won't do anything unless necessary, and always explains why and what he had to do.

Go to west end alignment. He charged me 100 bucks. He did it to my specs and all. He's a very cool guy and he will not finish working until you're satisified. But if you're just going for OEM spec alignment, go anywhere; it's all buy computers. Darin does it all by hand -skills.

Also, just fyi..... Firestone won't do alignments on lowered suspension. All they do is restore factory settings. At least the Firestones over here are that way. And yeah they suck.

$80 bucks probably

I just like him cause I trust his work, I just leave my car there and come pick it up after work. He stays open late for us etc etc.

Some stuff costs more than other places (like mounting & balancing) but I'd rather be safe than sorry. You might save a couple bucks here and there but might cost you in the end. I have places where I can get $5 M&B but that comes with $5 service, weak.

Darin @ West End is cool, I used to go to him when I lived out in that area, but JC is right by our office.

Thanks for the advice..I'm going to this shop call bear frame and wheels tomorrow. Two mins from my house, I heard nothing but good things about them.

Bear Frame is actually a really good place. They do a lot of lowered cars since they have alignment pits, sorta like the chain oil change places (Jiffy Lube, etc.) do.
