Got a quick question.
What model and what brand of aftermarket fans will work on an oem ka24de
S14 radiator and be functional enough for auto x and street? I was thinking 2 fal 10 inch fans??? maybe too big, or not enough cfm,s? lemme know what ya think. And no I don't wanna do the altima fans. Thanks.

Fal fans would be a good but more pricey option, however if you want a more DIY approach, check out this install of dual fans from a Nissan Stanza, which are almost exactly the same as Altima fans. I cant see why you would be against Altima fans as they are just as powerful as Fal and capable of cooling the KA or SR quite well and also has multiple speeds.

If you want to try a different approach, try something like a single Ford Taurus fan as they are very powerful and even capable of cooling a 5.0. I have seen this install on a 240 and it worked great. This install can be easily adapted to work with the 240.

OEM is ALWAYS better than aftermarket, in terms of reliability.
Go for Altima fans...make sure to get BOTH fans, with the shroud.
Her's a basic pic of the trimming needed to make it fit:

Wire one up to your stock wiring, and the other to a NEW relay and switch (use the switch to GROUND the realy and turn it on).
Hope that helps...

Oh...and they cooled my KA-T with stock radiator with no problems here in hot-n-sunny Florida...even better now with a Koyo AL radiator.

From what I understand you can use the Stanza, Altima, and sentra SE-R fans with some minor modifing and some zip ties.
If you don't use your A/C on the SE model 240sx's, you can use the A/C button as your on/off switch. (although when you use the defrost front windshield it would go on as well). 240sx's that came with A/C came with an electric fan already installed that you can use, and it blows enough CFM's.
Although you will probably want to install a thermal switch between switch and fan........
If you chose to keep your A/C then you need to get a dual fan and then a swith and thermal switch...........

not always, OEM USUALLY compromises to get the best of reliability and cost, not to mention for the cars "intended' use, so people that track, drift, destruction derby. might need to upgrade from OEM to a "better' aftermarket part.
Especially when buying used electrical components, with things run by electricity newer is generally better.

For my S13 setup I used B13 SE-R or P10 G20 fans and I replaced my stock S13 radiator inlet tank (upper tank) to a P10 G20 one (part# NI-017) so it has provisions fo rmounting either SE-R or P10 G20 fans.

what i did at first was use a fan from a 94 Ford Taurus the only problem was i had to make stand offs, they worked but i would have to check on them every day., after that, i put a s14 radiator in that still had its electric fan attached, car runs super cool.
i have an 89 fastback by the way.
