Toyota Yaris vs. Nissan Versa...

my girlfriend is torn between the two. i visited both sites and they both have great features(bluetooth, good sound system, cargo, styling) they're also available both as either a liftback, or sedan version. i need some other opinions or feedback on anything about these cars. any good information would be great!

but how do they actually measure? nissan: 1.8L 120hp 125 ft tq 38mpg vs. toyota: 1.4L 90hp or 1.3VVT-i 87hp.......fairly significant difference. unless u get teh sporty "TRD" version....108hp and 104 ft tq.
HP is more important to me because i dont wanna have any trouble gettin on teh highway and stuff.
But it has cool keyless entry and push button start( a real race car lol). but the toyota get points 4 style and features vs. bigger motor and more power...and jus bigger

actually both of these cars are coming to the states as competing entry level cars. anyways, she's picking the yaris (vitz) because of the "cuteness" and it's reported to be only 12 g's for and S trim with some decent number or features.

toyota says that the car will come with a 1.5l vvti motor making 108 hp. i personally like the styling of the vitz/yaris. i bet the aftermarket for that car will be good

I think I ended up posting somebody's photoshop . even as a 4 door, if I don't have a newer car by then, I might be getting that, I think it looks pretty cool even with 4 doors.

edit: found transmission infos, 6 speed manual, 4 speed auto and the super gas saving CVT transmission

1) Brother is 16 years old, 2) he isn't a car aficionado like me, if he was I would be looking for another S2000 for him, 3) underpowered for what? all day road racing and touge battles... its a car for him to go to school and back which is just a few miles., 4) Car is better looking than the other hothatchs and honda reliable.

If he wants to mod his car with a bit more punch, then theres always a K20 swap

Don't like the styling of any of them, although the Fit is the best looking ofthe three. I loved the previous generation Vitz and Fit but meh what do you expect, the U.S. always misses out on the cool cars...
