Is there one? I mean you don't have to completely remove it infront of your car. You just place it in your left windshield.

Im pretty sure that any state that requires you to have a front license plate, will not allow you to have it any where else. Only way around this is to be in a state where you don't have to have a front plate. I wish I wouldn't have to have a front plate either. :( o well

just check for your local state laws....by California law you are required to have a front license plate....
putting it in the windshield looks stupid anyways and attracts MORE attention...it tells the cop you possess a front plate and by that you have the ability to mount it somewhere on the front

I live in So Cal and I have no front plate. I haven't had any issues yet. Cali law requires one though.

plate in windshield looks ghetto. +1 for michigan. only got 1 plate from the DMV/secretary of state.

If you think about it for a second. Having your plate right next to your airbag isn't exactly the smartest thing to do. If that air bag deploys, guess where the licenses plate is going to fly.

hmm i still haven't gotten a ticket nor a warning for no front plate..
my car never came with a front plate though, and I'm too lazy to request another one from the dmv.

That's odd....because your suppose to have two plates. I think the reason why they (the states) want you to have front tags is because the reflective material makes it easier for the radar guns to detect your speed. Also to keep two cars from roaming on the streets with the same tag.

my 240 came with both california plates, but the bumper had no holes to mount it so the front plate was in the back seat... the car was from texas originally, but i asked the texas guys and they said front plates are required, so i dunno why the bumper didn't have holes.

Why is this a hassle. V already stated why it isn't a good idea to have the plate inside. So in the end, if you have the plate run it on the bumper or leave it at home. When you are pulled over for no front plate don't come here complaining.

california cops don't bust you for no license usually. if they're fags which most of them are, they bust you on it when they pull you over for something else. didn't get ticketed for it, driving with no plate up front for a year and half until got pulled over for exhaust. i have my license plate on my window right now only because i have no bumper.
