sorry for the OT post, but I gotta rant.
....a friend of mine had the latest issue of Import Racer magazine and gave it to me to look at....I was lookin at it, this magazine is so rice! why would a magazine called import Racer show how to dump a Honda Accord, using industrial air compressors.....this way you don't have to use springs....LOL...I mean, we all know real race cars don't use springs right?

yeah, I can't believe he bought the mag...but I thought, cool, even though it'll all be honda crx and civic HB's....a mag called import racer should be cool.....scratch that. I mean, when does running with no springs and having a trunk of subs and speakers fit in with "racing?"
what really funny, people actually do that stuff though, a friend of mine used to work at a import shop, and a guy brought a car in, and actually had it with no springs, lowered it to the bumpstops....LOL the things people do.

<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> No springs? Is that even possible with out resting the frame on the ground? What kind of car?
Oh and import tuner is a total T&A rag. Too bad the girls on the cars aren't usually even worth a look, cause god knows that no one would read it for the informative articles.

Yohsi- If you read the title it's actually Turbo & high tech performance. So not all the car have to be turbo....BUT yea a cavalier isn't much high performance <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> Ok so guess kinda the same thing.
But sad as it is, that is the market. Bottom line. Majority of "Import Racers" drive hondas/acuras. Magazines need high readership in order to pursuade advertisers to buy space.
Notice how Super Street has the highest circulation and the most amount of advertisers. Super Street does a very good job catering to the market and thus getting the high circulation and again making advertising in that mag a higher value to companies.
You know which issues sell the best? The ones with a Honda or Acura on the cover.
Though all the mags(except import racer) fall under PriMedia Publishing group they all have seperate Publilshers, Editors, Writers etc....but of all of them SS has and is still the strongest.

Super Street knows how to sell their magazine and whore out as many current auto trends as humanly possible. Plain and simple. Their writers aren't up to par, honestly. Their professionalism in that department needs major help. Most of their writers are actual people (or psuedo-import car celebrities) who write their stuff. Import Tuner and Super Street still both have the worst writing out of all the car magazines I've read regardless of how many copies they sell.

the new issue of import tuner... SPEC V... supercharged! but i still dislike import tuner to the extream. their writing sucks my dick. i actually subscribed to super street a year ago, and i like what they write, unless their writing went down extreamly 'bout the last year, i think they r a good mag.

uhmm i dont know about ya'll but i do not mind pics of chicks.... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/eh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':eh:'>
SCC the is closest to a official , professional, "Car&Driver" style imoprt mag....unlike car&driver though, i sometimes find it boring, not all the time but sometimes...i wonder if there mag would begin to suck if there was a model spread accross a few cars, lol probably
SS is cool for pics
import tuner is number one for chicks...lol
