i have a quick question... i was wondering what throw out bearing do i use for a s13 sr20det blacktop? i been reading around and picked up a 89 maxima clutch but some people say the throwout bearing wont work and to pick up a 90 240sx one...and some people just dont even talk about it...i compared my old tob to the maxima one and its bigger.....i also compared it to a 93 240sx one and it doesnt match up....i dont really have a 90 240sx tob to compare it to but i always thought that all s13s use the same clutches...so any help would be apreciated
-thanks

my kade release bearing was the same as my sr release bearing. dont know if ka-e release bearings were any different, buti think its a safe bet to assume you dont use the maxima one. They shouldnt look any different weather its oem or timken or whatever but as long as its the same inner/outer diameter, thickness and the surface that actually contacts the pressure plate looks like it'd make contact the same way then id say just use it.

hmm... i have a 93 trany right now...i took off the tob and compared it w/ the sr one...the sr one is alot bigger than the ka...the center (hole part) is the same size tho...so im guessing that as long as the hole is the same size i can just use the ka one?

Well i know ACT runs 300zx TOB and thats wut im running on my SR. Re-use the KA TOB carrier and have the Z32 one pressed into it.

You could call the guys at Courtesy Parts... one of the guys there knows what to get for SRs and I think it ended up cheaper than Phase2 when i got mine.
When I got mine I looked at a Z32 TOB and a Sentra TOB. If I remember right the Z32 TOB looked exactly like what I got from Courtesy.

Looks almost like a nissan number to me, 30502-21000 is the # for a KA throw out bearing.
